I was kicked out of a public library for listing items on E-bay. Is this legal?

It's hard to know without knowing the library or the library's internet policies, but sometimes libraries receive computers or receive grant funding for their internet computers that restricts how the computers can be used (i.e. they agree that the computers won't be used to make money or for commercial purposes.) Perhaps this is what happened in your case.
