I feel like this guy was trying to get me to have with him, was he?

I've been talking to this guy for about a month and it's a looonngggg complicated situation that I won't go into but last night we were spooning and he starting me for a reaalllyyyy long time and me a little bit. I have told him I want to wait a little bit before having with him and he's pretty respectful of that. Was he trying to kinda get me in the mood to have ? Or what was he doing? I mean don't get me wrong I liked it but I just couldn't really tell where it was coming from cus that's like all we did lol.
